Olive green Ellen tracy pants, black silk Uniqlo shirt, socks made from a really great pair of floral-patterned tights altered by a cat (she knows who she is), and the eggplant Trippen mary janes.

Red Uniqlo jeans that were too tight when I got them so I put them away for a couple of years and then when I thought they might fit I couldn’t remember where I’d put them until I found them by chance in a drawer of t-shirts and old sweaters and they fit; black Uniqlo sleeveless t-shirt with Basquiat art on the front that I wore to the night-before-the-wedding party when my brother got married two years ago and one of my nephews asked what the design was and I said “Basquiat” and he said “Is that the Uniqlo Basquiat shirt?”; black zip-up cotton cardigan I bought randomly online years ago and that turned out to be one of my best random purchases ever; black socks; Trippen mary janes in a color that’s called something like eggplant but has grown more brownish in the 10+ years I’ve worn them.

Tahari dress with 3/4 sleeves and a dark red/green/gold/white/dark blue pattern that looks like Missoni but obviously isn’t (and it’s lined!), that old J Crew basil cropped cable cardigan, dark red tights, tall boots with buckles.
